Livestream: Declaration of Sauna Peace and opening of the Sauna Water Marathon
On 11 June, the world’s first Sauna Water Marathon will begin as part of the Finnish Sauna Day celebrations. The starting point is the traditional historic sauna of Rajaportti in Tampere, Finland, where Finnish sauna culture is celebrated throughout the day with various programmes and musical performances.
The programme includes the annual declaration of sauna peace in different languages, which is an old Finnish tradition. Afterwards we will tell you more about the Sauna Water Marathon and its background and officially open it with the first löyly (infusion)!
The livestream starts here at 2pm German time with the multilingual part (including Finnish) and 2:30pm comes the German-language part. The livestream will last about one hour in total.
